The match at the Santiago Bernabeu marks the first-ever meeting between the two sides. Madrid, fresh from a 2-0 win over Real Sociedad, have an excellent record against German teams, losing just one of their last 21 matches. Stuttgart, making their first Champions League appearance in 15 years, will face a tough challenge in the holders' home opener.
Real Madrid are the reigning champions of the UEFA Champions League, and with the new season getting started this week, they're looking to retain their title when they play Stuttgart on Tuesday. This week also marks the first time that Madrid's Kylian Mbappé will play in the Champions League as a member of the squad.
